This Privacy Policy explains how PaceHaven ("PaceHaven," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the PaceHaven mobile app and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information: email address and, depending on how you sign in, a name and identifiers from Sign in with Apple or Google.
- Profile information: details you enter such as first and last name, sex, date of birth, height, weight, and your marketing preferences. We use these to personalize training plans and pace targets.
- Communications: information you provide if you contact us for support.
Health & fitness data
With your permission, PaceHaven reads from and writes to Apple Health (HealthKit) to power workouts, such as workout type and duration, distance, pace, heart rate, and active energy. This information is used solely to provide and improve the app's fitness features for you.
Location data
With your permission, we collect precise GPS location during an active workout to map and record your route. You can disable location access at any time in iOS Settings, though some features will be limited without it.
Information collected automatically
- Usage & analytics: app events and interactions collected via Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used.
- Diagnostics: crash reports and performance data via Firebase Crashlytics.
- Device information: device model, operating system version, and similar technical details.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Create your account and generate and adjust your training plans.
- Guide, record, and display your workouts and history, and sync them across your devices.
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
- Respond to your requests and provide customer support.
- Send you service and, where you have opted in, marketing communications.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. Apple Health (HealthKit)
- Health and fitness data accessed through HealthKit is used only to deliver the app's features to you.
- We do not store your HealthKit data in iCloud.
- You control access to Health data and can grant or revoke specific permissions at any time in the Apple Health app or iOS Settings.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
- Service providers: vendors that operate the Service on our behalf, including Google Firebase (authentication, analytics, crash reporting, configuration) and our cloud hosting provider, which stores your account and profile data. These providers may process data only to provide services to us.
- Legal reasons: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or PaceHaven.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
5. Third Party Services
The Service relies on third parties that have their own privacy policies:

6. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize the personal information we hold about you, except where we must keep it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
7. Your Rights & Choices
- Access and update: view and edit your profile information in the app.
- Delete: delete your account from within the app, which removes your associated profile data from our systems.
- Permissions: control Health, Location, and notification permissions in iOS Settings.
- Marketing: opt out of marketing messages at any time.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights. Residents of the EEA and UK may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port their data, and to object to certain processing, under the GDPR. California residents may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including to know, delete, and correct personal information and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" (we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined). 8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. International Users
We are based in, and process information in, the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection laws than your country.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
